The new footbridge in town Miren near Nova Gorica is basically used for crossing of sewage system over the river Vipava. It also enables the communication for pedestrians and cyclists between Vipava banks near the new administrative and cultural center of Miren-Kostanjevica Commune. The footbridge is designed as structural steel space frame truss with elliptical shape cross-section made from different hot rolled steel round tubes. The steel truss is connected to R/C pillars with two steel dowel joints at each side. In vertical direction the truss is shaped as low arch with radius R≈140 m. The span length is approx. 41 m. The footbridge total length is 50 m and width is 4.82 m.
